What Did People Read in 2025?

While AI dominated the scene on my blog, certain boilerplate topics of RPA, Business Processes, and Customer Journeys still did well for people. Below are the topics of greatest interest to my followers, along with the countries where curiosity is most intense (beyond the US & China).

AI Helps Introduce My Music to Peeps

As a creative, I enjoy writing songs and creating art.  As a music producer, songwriter, and vocalist, I found myself with a catalog of songs our team created with an audience of friends, family, and business associates. Well, this is fine, but I wanted to reach out and promote the stories in my songs as I start with the story and lyrics. My team and I then craft music to match and/or alter the lyrics. While streaming helps a bit, you have to actively market your songs because every day, thousands of songs are created by folks today, and tomorrow, AI will add to the mix. So, how can I encourage my audience to grow? Well, AI now plays a role.

AI to the Rescue

My co-producer and genius partner, Ethan Foxx was using AI videos to promote his songs. So Ethan taught me how to create AI videos synchronized with the songs we both produced. I went on my own after a couple of collaborative videos Ethan and I created. I learned how to script for Kaiber AI and create my own AI music videos. It's been a blast waiting overnight for AI to render a video, and now I see the results. It usually takes me two or three times before I get a Video I like. I figured the best way to expand my audience was to post the videos on YouTube and TikTok, targeting a younger demographic. Well,  the results have been pretty impressive, as you can see above in the image from TikTok. Over 11K likes and over 200K views. You can find me on TikTok, or click here for YouTube access. The most popular videos are "Forgive" and "Dark Star Love". The best video is "Cry for Creation"

What Did Folks Read in the 3Q 2025?

There was a definite shift in topics from a myopic AI driven interest to a more balanced approach as we are in an AI bubble about to burst for the AI vendor sector. There will be vender consolidation and more pragmatic approcah to applying AI to customer experiences and business processes in most industtries. This leaves exotic agentic AI for specific insutries that have distributed infrastructure that can act on it's own behalf. Below is a chart indicating hot topics for the 3Q 2025 and the countries other than the US, China and Russia that are active on my blog. It was an active quarter for reading my blog.

Art of the 1st Quarter 2025

With a new song coming out in January 2025, my art focused on an image that projects the theme of the song and an AI-generated music video. Dark Star Love is about an exciting and scary chance meeting with a kindred soul. Will it last or will they move on? It's like plunging into a black hole of sorts. Art for the 3rd Quarter 2024

Gen AI created all of the art for the third quarter. I retrofitted my first album, Amazing Journey, with images to create art associated with each song. I did this for my second album, Ready or Not (click here), so it was time to equalize the whole music catalog. I expect to work on the Gen AI videos in the fourth quarter while new songs are in the hopper for 2025 to be released as singles if all goes well. While hand-created art will not be abandoned by me, I enjoy guiding AI to create images to match the themes of my songs. You can listen to my songs on popular streaming services right now. I'm up to 172K streams on Spotify and have qualified for "Discovery Mode" on Spotify for almost the whole catalog. Currently, my songs are on over a dozen playlists. I hope you like the music and the images.

Stepping Up the Music Game

Most of my friends and family know about our new album, "Ready or Not," but its reach has surprised all of us. The numbers are encouraging, and the comments about the quality really excited us. We reached a worldwide audience and 62K streams on Spotify alone. See the charts below for the last 28 days' worth of activity on Spotify. Just search for Jim Sinur on your favorite streaming service. If you don't stream much, click here for the new album. The most popular songs are Forgive, Mercy Me, and Kinder, according to the numbers (see below). My favorites are Cry for Creation and Restoration.

The AI Gen videos are also drawing folks into the music. In fact, we have had some fortune with longer songs because of the compelling nature of the videos. Click here for all the videos completed to date. The two newest are Mercy Me and Restoration. My favorites are Cry for Creation and Forgive. The core team of Ethan Foxx, Jimmy Caterine, Pete Crane,  and I hope you enjoy the creativity, core stories, and professional engineering. Primarily, we hope to see you dancing to some of these tunes someday.

Art for the 1st Quarter 2024

All of the art for the first quarter resulted from experiments with Gen AI. I used Kaiber for the videos and Microsoft Image Creator. These art projects coincided with my new album, "Ready or Not." Please click here for a summary. For a quick preview of each song, click here. I generated four videos, as listed below, but I started the videos with the following images to give the AI tool a starting point and a storyboard to tell the story of each song. Overall, I liked the experience as an artist, but it won't keep me from doing art by hand or fractals, which also require computer assistance. Here are the art pieces for each song in the order they are on the album.

Music Helps with Life

“Ready or Not” is the name of my second album, which is about being a better human being, which we all struggle with on a daily basis. Ethan Foxx is my co-writer/creative producer/guitar/drums, and Jimmy (CAT) Caterine, our creative engineer and lead guitarist, are my mentors on my musical journey. Our team was assisted by Pete Crane, with great bass playing. Excellent strings by Cathie King. Significant keyboard boosts and a terrific trumpet solo from Eric Barker. A lovely harmonica outro by Robert Vincent. A steaming blues lead guitar and solo by the talented Don Supplee. Lead vocals by me. We only hope you enjoy the music, so take some time to listen to your favorite streaming source or listen to a quick summary by clicking here

So far, the most popular songs are Forgive, Mercy Me, and Kinder.  If you want to hear my granddaughter sing, go for Cry for Creation. If you want something different, listen to Restoration. If you're going to understand my attitude toward life, try Thankful Now.

Generative AI Made Me Cry

Cry for Creation is the ninth song on the “Ready or Not Album,” representing the youth worried about the earth and the creation left for them. We asked Gen AI to show us creation in its prime, which is starting to burn and become desolate with no signs of life. The children cry out for the hope of restoration and a way forward. I cried thinking about my children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren inheriting creation downstream. We thought someone from the next generations should sing this song. My granddaughter has sung in many plays, plus for the AZ Diamondbacks and at various other sporting events. Introducing Karson Sinur’s debut studio performance. I can’t believe she did it in one take with some additional harmony tracks. The lyrics, voice, and video are haunting. Click here for the Gen AI Video

Can Generative AI Teach Us to Be Kinder?

Kinder is the sixth song on the album (see below), which encourages us to focus on being kinder. The harmonies in this song illustrate the collaboration needed to make it through life. We asked AI to show happy people in a pretty park who were gathered together in a loving way. Next, we asked AI to show people how loving and kind people are to animals. After that segment, we asked AI to show people being kind to older folks who are in need of help. Then we asked AI to show friendly folks at a food pantry that were welcoming and warm. AI finishes with a walk down a path, waving a greeting to all who pass by. AI can show us kindness with a bit of scripting and prompting from humans. Click here for the short Generative AI Video

Another Assist From Genereative AI

Spiritual Treasure is the second song on the album(see below) that speaks about some of the distractions that take us all away from being the true spiritual creatures we are under the veneer of our carbon-based presence. We asked AI to show a busy city where many of us hustle for our existence as the opening of this video. Next, AI helped depict people seeking attention online to expand their digital presence. AI depicts the spiritual aspects of us represented by a cathedral and the family tribe in various activities of love and community. Click here for a short video generated by AI for our song.

Generative AI and Music

Sitting in the middle of arts mixed with science, I get to have fun with the mixology of some of the ingredients. In the past, I've published posts about art and AI and written white papers on AI and processes. This time the mixology includes generative AI and Music where AI matches my music with a script I've written. The Script lays the basic storyline, and AI fills in the details, creating marketing music videos. I have one link below pointing to one of my experiments. I hope you like it. Comments are welcome.

Click here for a short AI-generated video designed to match the music.

Top 5 Technology Trends for 2024

Last week, I published the Top 5 Business Trends for 2024 (click here), and this week, I narrowed down several technology trends to my top 5 that organizations need to start responding to intensely in 2024.

Harnessing Usable AI

Most organizations will probably have some form of the many types of AI in progress. Progress could range from experimentation to production-enabled and active in several business and technology domains. Since organizations do not fear another AI Winter because of broad-based data-driven successes, they are looking to take advantage of various kinds of AI (click here for AI Tributaries and Types for 2024). Significant efforts in and around Natural Language Processing (NLP) will allow for human understanding and appropriate responses like generating human-like interfaces in chatbots and language translation services, for example. There will be more virtual assistants that will supercharge customers and employees to be more effective even beyond their inherent knowledge and skill levels. It will expand AI to voice, image, and video analysis to create a more inclusive context for decisions and actions for carbon-based participants and robotic assistants. There will be an emphasis on emotion recognition to deal with the human factors of doing business. This new capability and power will need to be protected, so intelligent cybersecurity will get a boost to detect and prevent threats leveraging AI. Expect organizations to use AI until governance issues become the focus.

Leveraging Intelligent Customer Experiences and Processes/Applications

Organizations will likely start switching from flow-directed approaches to goal-directed ones where the flow is based on the changing goals of a customer journey or process. Savvy organizations will include their goals with the goals of customers, partners, and employees in the goal-directed approaches and balance seemingly conflicting objectives in a balanced approach. Personalization will now consider goals and measure feedback through real-time observation and analysis. Of course, better user experiences and omni-channel experiences will continue as table stakes, but more will be demanded. User-centered design employing more gamification components will play a role as AI and algorithms will expand their reach to customers, employees, and partners to advance Customer Relationship Management (CRM). Human/ tech collaboration will get a fresh look, including new forms of augmented reality over time. Continuous improvement and aggressive automation will continue in times of stability; however, changing conditions may unhinge current optimization patterns. Intelligence will be used to adapt processes and user experiences more acceleratedly. Organizations will leverage predictive methods and more aggressive scenario management and monitoring. It will be a necessity with supply chain shifts and optimization particularly.

Moving to Convergent Business and Technology Platforms

While individual technology stacks bring benefits, costs, and challenges, organizations will eagerly watch for the convergence of focused functionality into platforms that more easily integrate technology functions to enable faster and cheaper business results. Desire will force broader technology options at a more affordable cost and potential mergers and buyouts. Convergence will create aggregated specialty platforms and generalized digital business platforms. The effect is fewer vendors to manage for organizations and more integrated business/technical functionality. Examples include generalized Digital Business Platforms (DBP), Business Application/Package Platforms, Sales/Customer Platforms, Process Platforms, Collaboration Platforms, Data Science/Analytic Platforms, Automation Platforms, Lowcode Platforms, Cloud Platforms, Data Mesh Platforms, and Security Platforms. For a quick overview of the players, click here. I expect AI platforms to emerge as success is experienced and integration becomes necessary.

Building on Intelligent Infrastructure

As all business-driven intelligence and agility become a competitive weapon, the need for intelligent infrastructure will emerge quickly. It means that the infrastructure players that leverage AI and analytics in either a reactive or proactive manner will flourish. It will create a race to intelligence under the covers of processes, systems, and applications. Edge computing and IoT integration are perfect examples of where putting intelligence at the edge or even outside of a business process will be necessary. First, it will be monitored soon after there will be recognition of the need for decisions close to the edge and intelligent actions to deal with the changing conditions. Eventually, AI-driven intelligent bots or agents will be brokering response patterns at the edge. Examples of success today would include Smart Cities infrastructure. Digital twins will flourish in intelligent infrastructure, leveraging clever hybrid and multi-cloud along with smart data meshes. All of this will require smart security that is blockchain-enabled. In the future, quantum computing exploration will keep a watchful eye on the swarms of agile AI bots responding to infrastructure and business needs.

Living with Governed Leverage with Sustainability

Like it or not, organizations will have to balance their business results with the trail of impact their business activities create. There will be the emergence of renewable energy integration where it makes sense. Recycling or recreation will be more emphasized in 2024, along with eco-friendly packaging solutions. Smart buildings that leverage AI for energy efficiency optimize energy consumption in many aspects of an organization's activities. Remote work will play a role in the delicate balance of progress and preservation. Technology will be essential in an organization's ability to measure, monitor, and reduce its carbon footprint over its complete operation as and its supply chain. Water management is becoming a vital resource to monitor and optimize, leveraging tech and advanced waste management technology and techniques.

What Have People Been Reading in 2023?

Another year of posting blogs for me. Though the frequency of posting new blogs has gone down, the activity has been ramping up. The number of hits is north of 900K; I expect to hit nearly a million this year.  As you might guess, AI is getting a lot of attention as well as Customer Journeys. The surprises were previously popular topics, such as digital business platforms (DBP).  The one topic that shows maturity in applying digital is the interest in coping with legacy while progressing with digital and now AI. The interest in RPA tanked, and the interest in processes resurged. The topic of ransomware also came on strong as the vulnerabilities that more digital brings interest to the bad actors. There has been a shift in offshore interest to Asia and Northern Europe. It will be fun in 2024 to predict business and technical trends. I will take a shot at that in February. Meanwhile, here are a couple of graphs to help you see what happened last year and the last quarter. Enjoy. Click on the graphic if you want to see a bigger version. If there is a topic you think I should address, please post a comment or hit me up on LinkedIn.

Generative AI with Art is Fun

Recently, I've been working with Generative AI to create music videos for the songs on my upcoming album. You can expect my new music to roll out in the first quarter of 2024, and you will hear and see more about the new music soon. While working with Kaiber to help me deliver music videos, I thought it might be a nice experiment to take some of my art portfolios and make videos out of static 2D art. Here are the results of some of my recent experiments. They are pretty short, so I hope you take some time to enjoy them. To be honest, there were some failures, but most were successful. Enjoy !!

What Have Peeps Been Reading in the 3Q 2023?

Topics of customer journeys and processes continue to gather interest, but surprisingly, the combination of IOT and process hit the top spot for interest. Of course, AI is peaking because of the momentum of generative AI. Managing new balances with collaboration, balancing new digital efforts with legacy maintenance, and creating the elusive management cockpit for management visibility also gathered interest. Sweden and Canada were the most active offshore countries.

What is the Most Significant Execution Challenge?

It has been a relaxing summer for the Sinur clan, but it is time to return to the grind. I'm about to fire off a new series of blog posts on AI that will be compelling for many. To do that in a more personal and inclusive way, I'd like to start with a small survey to focus on the biggest execution challenges you are having. Welcome back to my devoted followers, and I hope to gain some new followers.

The purpose of this brief 5-question multiple choice survey is to understand the greatest execution challenges leaders like yourself are facing so that I can get a holistic picture of these challenges across industries, geographies & roles.

We will circulate the final survey results to all participants as soon as the results are in and analyzed. You will receive data, graphs, and personalized insights into the most significant execution challenges being faced overall, as well as by industry, geography, and role. We guarantee you will gain a new perspective and find value in the data!
